IF IT’S YOUR FIRST TIME

Our handover procedure is very thorough and designed to be as comprehensive as possible. If you're new to boating, don't worry, we'll teach you the ropes! We will stay on board with you for as long as it takes to ensure that you feel comfortable and confident. We won't leave you until you're happy and can demonstrate safe, slow, controlled manoeuvres and understand the systems, safety information and do's and don'ts of canal boating. Our staff mostly have their own canal boats, which means they have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to boating etiquette. You can be sure that they will give you all the time you need to make your canal boat holiday as enjoyable as possible.

YOU’RE AN EXPERIENCED CANAL BOATER?

Got the bug? Fantastic! We're on hand to offer you any top up training you require. We'll still required to go through the handover procedure with you, but will aim to tailor this to your demonstrated experience and hopefully have you away as promptly as possible. If you're new to widebeam/ barge hire then there will be a couple of bits and pieces that you'll need to know that are slightly different to what you've experienced in the past - we'll go through all of this and lots more during your handover.
